With the value philosophy of 'creating a pleasant environment', NSV, which develops and supplies noise, vibration, and shock prevention products in Korea and leads the global anti-vibration market, was honored with the Presidential Citation for the National Quality Innovation Award in the group category at the National Quality Management Competition.

The National Quality Management Competition, organized by the National Institute of Technology and Standards of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is the largest quality promotion event in Korea that identifies and rewards meritorious and outstanding companies that have created outstanding management performance through quality innovation activities and contributed to improving industrial competitiveness. It has been held annually since the first edition in 1975 and is now in its 47th year.

NSV has been recognized for its quality competitiveness by winning the Silver Prize at the Quality Improvement Case Contest (2019), the Product Innovation Award at the Korea Innovation Awards (product name: VD10) (2019), the Bronze Prize at the Quality Improvement Case Contest (2020), and the Product Innovation Award at the Korea Innovation Awards (product name: PO-MAT). This quality competitiveness is also reflected in sales. After peaking at 19.4 billion won in 2016, sales peaked at 31.2 billion won in 2018, and even in 2020, which was slowed down by the corona pandemic, sales reached 28.5 billion won. Although sales fell from 2018, the net profit margin grew from 10.9% in 2019 to 22.8% in 2020.

In addition, to ensure continuous innovation, we provide on-site job-oriented production innovation training every year, and have established a system to conduct regular evaluations of production, quality, safety, and innovation activities across all departments. In 2020, the company achieved 48 divisions and proposals, an overall facility efficiency of 86%, a lead-based yield rate of 94%, labor productivity of 26,134 EA, and a nonconforming product rate of 0.3%.

In accordance with the logistics management indicator KPIs, we reduced logistics costs by KRW 12.4 million with the goal of reducing logistics costs and improving customer satisfaction with logistics services. We established a strategy to promote production innovation and systematically implemented activities such as productivity and quality improvement, cost reduction, and education and training to continuously increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of facilities.

By implementing quality assurance activities in conjunction with TPM, the quality rate per facility increased from 97% in 2019 to 99% in 2020 for PO-MAT manufacturing facilities, and we realized a zero accident rate through safety and health activities and education on safety and health.

Through continuous process improvement and quality innovation, the nonconforming product rate has been reduced from 0.97% in 2018 to 0.33% in 2020, and the company is engaged in continuous cost reduction activities by practicing self-improvement and mutual development throughout the company through the division group activity and participating in internal management and improvement.

In particular, the company has achieved more than 400% of its existing production capacity by implementing smart factory construction and process automation, including the design and introduction of continuous production facilities for polyurethane mats used as a dual flooring system, starting with the introduction of the industry's first press continuous production facility.

"In order to secure domestic and global competitiveness with the new changes in the 4th industrial revolution, we built MES using IT and OT technologies in sales, research, production, purchasing, and quality functions, and established an organizational process that enables quality and productivity improvement and systematic work processing." With the management philosophy of customer satisfaction, internal satisfaction, and social contribution, NSV is continuously promoting responsible management by building customer relationships with its customer base as a stakeholder group to increase satisfaction. In 2019, we received the Workplace Innovation Consulting Support Project to meet the diverse needs and expectations of workers through a high-involvement human resource management plan that establishes a reciprocal relationship between the organization and workers.

In addition, we have established CS promotion direction for external customer satisfaction, and have redesigned the Voice of Customer (VOC) management system and advanced the Customer Management System (CMS) by deriving CS management system and detailed implementation tasks. Through this, we obtain VOC from various channels, analyze and feedback the requirements, needs, expectations, and signals of customers and markets, and improve customer satisfaction through improvement and innovation activities.

Customer complaints are received immediately through the customer computerized system and consist of cause analysis, countermeasure formulation and implementation, customer notification, and post-management, and are monitored through quarterly management reviews to prevent recurrence, resulting in a 20% decrease in customer complaints in 2020 compared to the previous year.

We are leading market changes through continuous R&D investment. We are leading market changes by specializing products, diversifying business areas, and pursuing high quality and high performance to sustain business growth. For noise prevention products, we are developing plant silencers and military silencers, and for vibration prevention products, we are developing shock mounts for military electronic equipment and investing in new technologies and new businesses. Last year alone, the company achieved achievements such as developing fluid silencers for submersible, surface, and underwater ships, developing shock mounts for military electronic equipment, developing performance-enhancing seismic stoppers, and being recognized by KFI.

The number of patents (28) and utility models (3) has increased due to continuous R&D and encouragement of the intellectual property discovery system, and the R&D investment rate has steadily increased to 3.08% (2018), 3.72% (2019), and 4.11% (2020).
