Dr. Jang Hyun Lee, President of NSV Research Institute, was recognized for his contributions to the development and commercialization of key parts for the defense industry through industry-academia-research collaboration and the recognition of the importance and necessity of the machinery industry through the development and application of noise and vibration reduction devices through joint research in the construction and environmental industries ''''''''2022 Machinery Day'''''''' Received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the commemorative event.
Mr. Lee joined NSV in April 1997 after majoring in mechanical engineering and worked in the technology development team, and was a founding member of the Technology Research Institute in 1998, starting as a researcher, and was promoted to the position of director and executive director of the Technology Research Institute based on his accumulated practical experience, and has played a pivotal role in the company's technology and management for 25 years.
His main duties include engineering services such as measurement, analysis, analysis, and design to eliminate problems with mechanical devices caused by noise, vibration, and shock from various sources at various plants and semiconductor industry sites in Korea, and he has improved his professional capabilities by acquiring the qualification of a noise and vibration engineer.
Currently, the company is committed to the localization of core parts in the defense sector in addition to existing industries, and is contributing to the import substitution effect by promoting the localization of fluid noise reduction devices and shock reduction devices that used to be entirely imported for surface ships and underwater ships, which are the core power of the Navy.
In addition, based on his expertise and experience in related fields, he is actively engaged in joint research and technical support activities with schools and government-funded research institutes to contribute to solving problems in the domestic industrial field through technology development activities, technology advancement, and technology scalability. He has been serving as the Vice President of Industry-Academia Cooperation since 2018, and is currently serving as the Vice President of Industry-Academia Cooperation in 2022, leading the way in revitalizing the joint research base by attracting special member companies and friendly exchanges between industry, academia, and research.
