[Seismic Design of Mechanical Facilities ⑦] Mechanical Nonstructural Elements of Seismic Target Buildings
NSV
''Different'' seismic design elements for different building uses: schools, data centers, hospitals, airports, etc.
The seismic design elements for the critical mechanical nonstructural elements of a specially rated building depend on the use and characteristics of the building. "Seismic Design Standards for School Facilities" and "Seismic Design Standards for Airport Facilities" are maintained as separate reference standards. In the case of general hospitals, in addition to mechanical facilities, hospital operating utility facilities coexist, and may be more important in terms of maintaining functionality. In addition, for energy management and space review planning, seismic design of data centers requires more spatial review than other buildings. In this issue, we summarize the targets of the non-structural elements for such buildings in an easy-to-understand manner. / Editor's note
